Washington Triathlon Events

Washington runs 40+ triathlons a year, roughly April through September — King County lake races in the Seattle metro, Ironman 70.3 Washington on the Columbia River in Richland, island venues on Orcas and San Juan, and a clutch of high-country events in Spokane and the northeast corner. Most of the race density sits west of the Cascades, but Eastern Washington has its own solid calendar anchored by the Tri-Cities corridor. Distances run the full range: indoor sprint in January to half iron in summer. If you race in Washington long enough, you will eventually swim in a lake, get rained on during the bike, and find a finish-line burrito that makes it all worth it.
